FlyPrivateRoutes is an independent guide to private jet travel in the United States. The goal is simple: before you ask anyone for a quote, you should know roughly what a trip costs, how long it takes and which airports make sense.
Who writes it
The guides are written under the pen name James Holloway by the site's editor. We use a pen name, and we say so here. Nobody on the team is a pilot or a charter broker. The job is research: comparing prices that charter companies publish, airport data and operator rules, and turning them into ranges you can check.
How the numbers are made
Distances come from airport coordinates (OurAirports open data). Flight times use typical speeds for each jet size. Prices use all-in hourly ranges calibrated against one-way prices published by several charter companies. The details are on the cost calculator page. We review prices every few months and change the date on each page when we do. Pages are built from a shared template and the same data for every route, and drafting is assisted by AI writing tools. The route notes, airport facts and sources are checked before a page is published, and a route without enough real information is not published at all.
What we don't do
- We don't operate aircraft and we don't take payment for flights.
- We don't invent reviews, testimonials or client stories.
- We don't publish a route unless we have real information that makes the page useful.
How the site makes money
Some links and the quote form send your request to licensed charter partners, who may pay us a commission. We don't charge you anything for using the site. Details in the affiliate disclosure.
